Established in 1890, Basin Spring Park features a circular limestone fountain fed by the spring 8–10 feet below, along with original retaining walls and a wishing well—elements that mark it as the birthplace of Eureka Springs. In 1921, a band shell was added, transforming the park into a de facto town square and gathering place. A recent grand reopening restored many of these historic features, renewing interest in the space’s architectural and cultural legacy.

Today, Basin Spring Park remains the town center and a vibrant live music hub. The Basin Park Music Series brings free, family-friendly performances to the community, with regional acts playing throughout the summer. Strategically located just off Main Street on Spring Street, the park sits only a few steps from the entrance of the historic 1905 Basin Park Hotel at 12 Spring St. Built beside the spring that gave the town its start, the hotel—originally constructed over the site of the Perry House—has maintained a close connection to the park for over a century.
