Nationally Significant Historic District

Nearly the entire downtown was designated on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970—making it one of Arkansas’s earliest and most significant historic districts. The National Trust for Historic Preservation has also named Eureka Springs one of “America’s Dozen Distinctive Destinations.” At its heart sits the iconic Basin Park Hotel, built in 1905 over the very spring that gave the town its name.

Just outside the hotel, Basin Spring Park pulses with energy—home to free outdoor concerts, street performers, and community gatherings. A few steps away, the historic Auditorium, built in 1928, continues to welcome national touring acts and hosts signature events like the Eureka Springs Blues Party.
