Owners Chris and Juanita Crider are Eureka Springs staples. They’re a hometown family who have always been connected with Eureka and the Kings River. The Crider’s location is a unique and historic place that locals hold close to their hearts. It seems as though the Crider’s are destined to be the caretakers of such a cherished spot along the river. Their educational background in Adventure Leadership and Outdoor Education, along with their life experience (in business and the outdoors) coupled with a truly tough work ethic and their individual passions for the river have set them up for success.
Juanita describes how the river reflects and informs her experience in life. “The water reminds me to be aware, alert, and present for what is around me. We get comfortable in our routines, but the river is always changing- every time you get on the water it has changed in some way. For me, adventure is anything that pushes your comfort zone a little bit, and you can gain so much by being willing to experience something new. The river reflects life in that way, and there are incredible learning opportunities there. The Kings River has given me more than I could ever give it..”
But they continue to work towards the goal of giving back! “We want to teach people to be stewards of the river. NWA is beautiful and has so many opportunities. It really has the potential to bring people together in lots of different ways”
Entering into their 3rd season, their business still has plenty of room to continue growth, but you can guarantee you’re in good hands when you work with Trigger Gap Outfitters.
