Opera of the Ozarks

Driving up to Opera in the Ozarks the view is stunning while the painted cinderblock buildings are deceiving. What seems like an unassuming building actually houses some of the very best performances. The music is inspiring and the performances moving! You will be sitting on the edge of your seat.

Opera in the Ozarks started in the ‘50s as a summer camp. Now, it offers training for university students and graduates who plan to pursue the arts professionally.

Performances for the 2017 season will begin on June 23:

  • Mozart Le nozze di Figaro
  • Floyd Susannah
  • Bizet Carmen

Before the performance, which usually starts at 7:30, there is an explanation of the opera outside the venue overlooking the Ozarks. This is very helpful for those who are not familiar with operas or who simply enjoy learning.

Not only does the location provide a spectacular overlook (Inspiration Point), but it is conveniently located to downtown Eureka Springs with a variety of lodging options. You won’t have to drive far to your accommodations, which will allow you to fully absorb and appreciate the beauty you just witnessed.

Buy your tickets now and come experience the wonder of a great show with the backdrop of the beautiful country!
